I stayed here for two nights and had a very pleasant time My room was nice and clean, the wifi worked good, and the man that checked me in was very friendly. Overall it was a nice little getaway

A hotel room has to have a few absolutes to be considered good. It must be clean and dry, must have plenty of hot water with good pressure, and most importantly, the bed has got to be comfortable. Depending on the price of the room, there are many other amenities that you can aspire to. I spent two nights at Knob Hill just before Christmas and it met all of the above criteria. The mattress was more comfortable than the $6,500 Tempur-Pedic I bought 2 years ago. For the price you absolutely cannot beat it.

So I was hesitant with the outside of the hotel but we had been on the road for 14-15 hours and everyone was tired. The rooms were not fancy and modern, however they were EXTREMELY clean!! The lady who checked us in (3am) was so friendly & helpful. If you do somehow need a room in this area, don't judge by the outside, the rooms are clean & the staff were professional. An update on the outside would be cool, but it doesn't reflect the rooms. Like I said, not a fancy or modern room, but clean and the beds were comfortable and the pillows were great!!

Room was very clean and rustic! The service was very good and friendly! I would highly recommend if staying in the area!

This was an optimum stay for me on my solo motorcycle trip passing thru Hillsville. The room was clean and had all the bare essentials that I would want. Mr. Patel was courteous, had coffee ready in the morning and even shared a clipping from his mint garden I used to flavor my drinking water for the ride. Enjoyed a fine supper at Earl's Diner across the street. I would definitely stay here again.

This was among my favorite stays in a long time. The staff was very hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was safe, quiet, and secure feeling. The price for the room was very reasonable, and I had a 4 day stay while visiting family in the area. This motel was memorable for its charm, warmth, and environment. They have taken an older property and turned it into a gem to be discovered. Original review Dec. 2022 This is an addition to the above review. I returned to visit my family in the area last week (Feb. 2024) and enthusiastically booked a room at this motel, because my previous stay had been such a good memory. Once again, I got a great value. The room was very clean. The water was hot and had good pressure and did not run out before the showers were completed. The beds were comfortable, and everything was good about this experience. The manager even helped me alter my reservation when the details surrounding my visit were slightly altered. Please stay here and keep these nice people well-supported. They work hard and provide good value and deserve your business. I admire people who provide greater value and competitive quality.

This was a great inexpensive place to stay. Yes it was dated BUT it was perfectly cleaned and very convenient. The owners were very nice and helpful. I’d definitely stay there again. It was nice and quiet and comfortable. A real at home feeling.
